"He instructs, We obey, We are blessed."
I am a member at Word of Life and a firm believer in Jesus Christ. I have a strong conviction that the word of God is true and that it cannot be proved in error. I know that there are people who will read my testimony and agree with me right from the start. There will also be those who might struggle to accept this as truth and to those I must say, accept this as a dare and an opportunity for him to prove himself faithful in your life as well. If you would simply try to do exactly what I have done which is what The God of the bible instructed me to do (and it works) then you too will come to see that he is sovereign. He instructs, We obey, We are blessed. What do you have to loose because I promise you will gain!There was a point in my life when I was not obeying Gods simple instructions. I would consider myself a normal everyday man who was doing the best that I thought I could as a husband, father and provider yet not getting very far. I was seemingly always living in lack. After having enough, I cried out to God in frustration and desperation about my condition. He told me that he had the answer and that he had already given it to me. Now hear my heart in saying this because it is something that you have heard over and over again but I challenge to ask you if you have whole heartedly and 100% done exactly what it is God has asked us to do. I was not. His solution was given to everyone and it is his will for every one to read and obey and be blessed. This is the answer that the scripture gives us. We are told to seek first the Kingdom of heaven and all these things will be added unto us. You could also say put first the Kindgom of Heaven.There are things we are asked to do first and it is amazing how God responds when we do them first and not second. The scripture declares that the money that we earn is the fruit of our labor. There is the first portion of this that God simply asks us to bring back to him so that he can continually bless our lives. He specifically says for the portion to be a tenth. He then blesses our obedience to this instruction and he said that it would be exceedingly and abundantly more than what we could contain. That is if we would do it Gods way and not our way. My way made sense and it was not working. Gods way did not make sense. So it took faith on my part and it worked. Because I am so bull headed and black and white, I looked at this for what it said, no more and no less. He said to get up in the morning (first) before everything else and seek him - not complicated just needs a little discipline. He also said to honor him with my first fruits or tithe of my earnings - not complicated - its the first 10 percent of what I earn. He said to bring it into the storehouse. The storehouse being the church or tabernacle, according to scripture. Plain and simple I needed financial provision in my life in order to keep from loosing my home and to keep my wife and kids well and fed. I am not going to sugar coat anything. I was asking God to bless me financially. I heard God speak to me in the moment that I cried out and he said to start where I am. Its funny how he never asks for much and yet I always made it so complicated. His request sounds simple because it is. I knew where I was and it was bleak. I had 55 dollars in the bank. My tithe on 55 dollars was exactly five dollars and fifty cents. I responded and did just as he asked of me and this is how God responded. He spoke to me about starting up my own business and I obeyed. He began to provide financial provision through my business and pulled my family out of debt and financial despair. All the while, I am bringing my FIRST fruit of every check that I earned back to God and simply saying Thank You. Thank You that you are Lord and that your word is true. I began paying my tithe as an act of worship and obedience. The act of trusting God and doing just as he asked me to do and seeing his answer to my cry of desperation gave me a tangible sense of his goodness. My business in the first six months of its inception did $199,000 in sales and is growing at a rate that is hard for me to contain and that is simply because he said that it would happen that way. I also recognized that he was asking me to seek him first every day even before I helped get kids ready for school or took out the trash. As I obeyed his request and did just that, I began to see God respond to my obedience by experiencing his presence on a more intimate level. He imparted wisdom and direction as I began to hear his voice more clearly. I know that I can pray to God any time of the day and I do. I also know that when I am seeking him first that my time with him throughout the day is so much more powerful and this is because he sees that he is first in my life or better yet he sees that I have made him Lord. If there is one thing that I can say to sum this up it would be that through God all things are possible and remember that he wants you to start where your at. The key is - He wants you to start. His blessing on your life Spiritually, Emotionally & Financially is available at the moment that you trust and obey!
